GERALD MITCHELL is devoted to the goal of helping bring about a just transition to a new economy and way of being that prioritizes health, wellbeing, equity, and interconnection. In service of that goal, Gerald currently advises organizations as an independent consultant focused on strategic planning, organizational development, and investing for a just transition. He worked as the Deputy Director at The Working World and is also the founder of SWICH, an award-winning platform that helped people leverage consumer power to change how businesses impact communities in support of social justice. He serves on several boards, including Soul Fire Farm, Justice Funders, is a member of the Advisory Board for Buen Vivir Fund, and a member of the Finance Committee for Christopher Reynolds Foundation.
Additionally, Gerald is a breathwork facilitator and incorporates this modality to support people and organizations in their explorations related to money, abundance and scarcity, healing and connection, while reimagining what is possible beyond our current societal constraints.
Gerald graduated from Stanford University and received his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania. He currently lives in Brooklyn - plotting how to bring together his land stewardship and kitesurfing dreams.
